WASHINGTON (AP) ? President Barack Obama is answering questions through a popular social networking site ? and even agreeing to forward the resume of someone looking for work.
Obama was answering questions during a 45-minute live video chat on Google’s social networking site Google Plus.
Obama’s participation in the chat room, known as a “Hangout,” is part of an effort by the White House to expand its social media presence.
One woman told the president that her husband was an unemployed engineer looking for work in the semiconductor industry. Obama said he would forward her husband’s resume to technology companies to try to help him.
According to Google Plus, the site received 133,213 questions for the program.
