Nsenga K. Burton was named managing editor for TheLoop21.com, a Web site that provides in-depth analysis of economics, politics, health, education, sports and entertainment. Burton will direct TheLoop21.com’s fall re-launch and build a strong editorial voice that offers critical analysis of issues important to the African American community. She will oversee the day-to-day management and execution of editorial initiatives and operations of the company.
Burton joins TheLoop21.com with over ten years of experience in journalism and new media. Most recently, she was editorial director for RushmoreDrive.com, an IAC Interactive Company. Her previous experience includes Arnold Communications, The Labyrinth Project and Lighthouse Strategic Group.
She has already begun building a strong editorial team signing political commentators/bloggers Keli Goff and Lenny McAllister, new media trailblazer Norman Rich, celebrity blogger Liz Burr and music journalist Carlton Hargro.
