25 women eventThe name says it all. The Network Journal has been celebrating
accomplished women of color for over 15 years. And this year?s 16th “25
Influential Black Women in Business” annual event, presented by Morgan
Stanley, is no different.

From nationally and internationally known, top companies like Wells Fargo, Prudential and General Electric, these dynamic women are from a variety of sectors, states, schools and schools of thought. They are professors; they are attorneys; they are economists, architects, entrepreneurs and everything in between. Some had an easy road to the top, and some did not.??

Regardless of how they got there, they represent the best. They have arrived.? ??

?The women we are honoring this year are at the forefront of American leadership and symbolize the diversity and advancement that has occurred across industry lines,? states TNJ Publisher and CEO Aziz Gueye Adetimirin.

At the photo shoot for our Spring 2014 magazine that showcases these influential women, I had the pleasure of meeting five of this year?s honorees. They are an inspiration ? composed, poised and glamorous in their own right. They are role models whether they signed up for the job or not ? though chances are, it?s a title they don?t mind holding.

Whatever the industry, one thing these ladies have in common is that they are running things – in boardrooms, in communities, in science labs, in newsrooms and courtrooms, and beyond.

Girls really do ?Run the World.?
