As senior vice president, head of Digital Channels and Omni at TD Bank, Montresa McMillan leads a team that is responsible for setting and executing the digital strategy as well as shaping the firm’s vision to deliver a fully connected, highly personalized customer experience across channels, businesses, and borders.
It’s “the best job at TD,” McMillan says, because she gets to be a progressive change agent. In addition to her teams at TD and her father who instilled in her “a healthy ambition and obligation to always pay it forward,” McMillan attributes her success to her own persistence. “Driving change and transformation programs large and small requires an unwavering commitment to a vision and the willingness to challenge the status quo,” she explains.
“My persistence to fight for what is best for our customers, colleagues, and communities, and the resilience required to do so, have not only been critical to my own success, but also to the success of my colleagues.” A recipient of several industry awards, McMillan is committed to elevating others, at work and especially in her community as a Big Sister, where she helps young women to reach their full potential.
“I am honored to receive an award, but equally meaningful to me are personal notes from those I’ve mentored, telling me that they graduated from college or got a promotion,” she states. “I’ve had the honor of getting to know many phenomenal young women over the years and am so proud of all that they have accomplished. This experience has shaped me into who I am today — as a woman, a mother, and a professional.” McMillan studied mathematics at North Carolina State University. She also completed the Managing Successful Technology and Product Strategy program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
