Lori Dickerson Fouch? represents a younger group of women who are cracking the insurance industry?s executive suite. Senior vice president and chief operating officer for the Special Insurance division of Fireman?s Fund Insurance Co., Fouch? is responsible for expanding the Speciality Insurance division?s $2.7 billion in annual revenue while managing the Specialty Insurance division?s field underwriters, operations and governance procedures. Fouch? previously held senior positions at leading insurance companies, most recently at Chubb & Son. She joined Fireman?s Fund in 2006 as the marketing executive for Specialty Insurance.

As she progressed in the industry, Fouch? drew strength from her husband, Patrick, and from her parents, Charles and Judith Dickerson, who instilled in her a sense of purpose and a commitment to excellence and perseverance. She acknowledges many mentors throughout her career, all of whom, she says, ?gave immensely of themselves and offered valuable advice.? Their influence and Fouch??s participation in the INROADS leadership development program, led her to provide the same level of commitment to mentoring. She is a member of the Supreme Court of New Jersey Disciplinary Oversight Committee and serves as a mentor for Princeton University?s Minority Business Association Program. ?I have remained dedicated to mentoring over the years because of my desire to see women and minorities have access to people who can help them achieve their personal and professional potential,? says Fouch?. ?No matter what my job requires of me, I am constantly mentoring others.?

Fouch? received a bachelor?s degree in history from Princeton University, an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, and a certificate in integrated marketing from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Ultimately, she would like to teach financial management to African-American women and children.
