    Founded in 1875 and now considered one of 105 Historical Black
    Colleges & Universities (HBCUs), Knoxville College enrolls 600 black
    students in a private, four-year, coeducational, liberal arts curriculum. Knoxville maintains a
    strong history of commitment to its surrounding community and black colleges,
    encouraging its students to work with members of the local community, while
    advancing the educational and practical experience of its students at the same
    time.
