Joy Reid to Anchor New Show on MSNBC

Joy Reid gets new show on MSNBCMSNBC president Phil Griffin has announced that Joy Reid will anchor her own news show on MSNBC. Reid is currently the managing editor at The and has been a regular contributor on the network since 2011. Prior, she was a political columnist for The Miami Herald and editor of the blog, The Reid Report.

The new show, which has not yet been named, will air on February 24 in the 2 p.m. time slot.?

A news veteran who has worked in both radio and television since 1998, Reid is a 1991 graduate of Harvard University and a 2003 Knight Center for Specialized Journalism fellow. In 2008, she was a press aide to then-Senator Barack Obama’s Florida campaign.
