LONG BEACH, Calif. (AP) ? A JetBlue plane that declared an emergency during a flight from Salt Lake City to Long Beach due to a possible mechanical problem has landed safely.
Airline spokeswoman Tamara Bentham says the Airbus A320 carrying 147 passengers landed at Long Beach Airport shortly after 7 p.m. Friday. She says the flight arrived about 30 minutes behind schedule.
The Federal Aviation Administration says the aircraft may have had one wheel stuck in the well and the plane was placed in a holding pattern in the air to resolve the problem.
Bentham says the plane taxied to the gate on its own, and technicians will conduct an inspection to determine the source of the problem.
