Janet Jackson will trot out a new album — her first in seven years — near the end of the year, she announced Wednesday on her website. The yet-to-be titled album will be released by BMG via Jackson’s own record label, Rhythm Nation Records.
Might the new record be called “Conversations In A Cafe?”
That’s the hashtag she used last month, when she surprised her more than 3 million Twitter followers with a tweet that hinted a new album was in the works. She elaborated in a video linked out from the tweet, which was also autoplaying when fans accessed her website.
