Jack Henry posts higher fiscal 4Q profit

MONETT, Mo. (AP) ? Jack Henry & Associates Inc., a data-processing equipment and services provider for financial firms, said Tuesday that its fiscal fourth-quarter profit climbed 22 percent as support and service revenue increased.

The company reported net income of $36.6 million, or 42 cents a share, for the three months ended June 30. That compares with net income of $30 million, or 35 cents a share, in the prior-year quarter.

Revenue grew to $249.3 million, from $227.8 million in the year-ago quarter.

Analysts’ consensus forecast called for earnings of 40 cents a share on revenue of $248.1 million, according to FactSet.

For the full year, Jack Henry earned $137.5 million, or $1.59 a share, compared with $117.9 million, or $1.38 a share, in the prior fiscal year.

Revenue rose 16 percent to $966.9 million.

Jack Henry shares ended the regular session up 11 cents at $27.57.
