Tax time is the time of year most of us don’t look forward to. Just ask
anyone who owes money. But make sure you really owe that money.
In rare cases, the IRS makes mistakes. It doesn’t happen often, but it
happens. Recently, the IRS had to revoke a federal tax lien it had filed against
singer Dionne Warwick in 2009. It alleged that Warwick owed a whopping $2.2 million in back taxes dating back to the ’90s. The singer checked it out and proved the IRS wrong.
