Inauguration and Dedication Ceremony

As part of the fiftieth anniversary celebrations of the Republic of Mali, The First Lady of Mali, Mrs. ATT Lobbo Traore, will lead a delegation to New York City for an Inauguration and Dedication Ceremony for the Malian Cultural Center. The event will take place at City Hall on Broadway at Park Row in Lower Manhattan, across from 250 Broadway. The evening will begin with a reception in the City Hall Rotunda. Light refreshments will be served. Local New York elected officials on the City and State level are among invited guests. Presenters include Omar Dao Malian Ambassador to the United Nations, N’Diaye Bah Republic of Mali Minister of Tourism, Imam Soulaimane Konate of Masjid AQSA, Mrs. Assetou Traore Sy executive director of the Malian Cultural Center ATT Lobbo Traore, and Saboor AbdulJaami, Esq. of AbdulJaami, PLLC. There will be a lively program of Malian Griot music, traditional dance and video highlighting contemporary Malian culture. Children from the New York City Malian community will lead an educational fashion show of tradtional dress as part of the festivities. All are welcomed.
