2025 U.S. Open At Oakmont Round 1 Recap
The first round of the US Open, which was scheduled for the 12th of June 2025, proved itself as one of the toughest rounds in history. Brooks Koepka (-2) managed to pull off one of the best rounds in the last two years and will definitely try to maintain the pace in the second round as well. ET. Jon Rahm (-1), as well as Jordan Spieth (E), also had a pretty great start to the championship, and Rahm earned a prime spot in the eyes of the betting industry.
Bryson DeChambeau (+3) and Rory McIlroy (+4) also ended up struggling quite a lot in the first round. Two unexpected names, J.J. Spaun (-4) and Thriston Lawrence (-3), topped the US Open leaderboard in the first round. Both of the players will have to work pretty hard to maintain that position in the second round at Oakmont.

What Can We Expect From the 2025 U.S. Open At Oakmont Round 2?
Following the first round at Oakmont, all the players in the US Open 2025 have 18 holes. The competition from now on is only going to get tougher as the pressure will start building up. Those who are already on top of the leaderboard will have to maintain that position, which is definitely a task considering the difficult course. A good first round at Oakmont is already considered a huge success, but it is definitely not enough to win the competition. This is the second straight major that the star players have not made it to the top of the leaderboard.
