Hello to a brand new year: 2025 is here, and this is the perfect time to set new goals, reflect upon how things went in the past, and manifest your dreams. If you have never created a vision board or need to refresh your approach, we will guide you step by step. Let’s dive into how to make the vision board that works.
Reflecting on the Past Year
The Importance of Reflection
Before jumping into the creation of your 2025 vision board, take a moment to reflect on the past year. What did you achieve in 2024? Recognizing your accomplishments is essential, no matter how big or small. Looking back can clarify what you want to focus on moving forward.
Last year, my vision board was filled with aspirations that I didn’t realize I achieved until I reflected on them. I was surprised to find that about 90% of the images I included came to fruition. This realization reinforced the power of vision boards; they serve as daily reminders that can shift your mindset and manifest your goals.
Understanding the Power of Vision Boards
Why Vision Boards Are Effective
Vision boards are not just beautiful collages but a scientifically validated manifestation tool. They help one visualize goals and keep them in the forefront of one’s mind. When one sees their aspirations every day, it creates a mental shift that encourages one to take actionable steps toward achieving it.
Setting Goals for 2025
How to Define Your Goals
Reflect on the past before you set up your goals for the new year. I keep my goals using Notion and it has completely changed my game. On my Notion page, I have about 25 to 30 goals for 2025, with some being pretty private, and others rather public.
My Personal Goals for the New Year
These are a few of the goals I’m going to focus on this year:
- Skiing trip with L’Oreal: I’m excited about the skiing trip with L’Oreal. I never even thought that was going to happen until I received the invite. That one’s already crossed off my list, but I’ll still put it on my vision board as a reminder of what I manifested.
- Consistent Sleep Schedule: I need to get my sleep schedule in order. I have been trying to get it right for a while now, and I want to feel more energized and focused.
- Travel to America: I am obsessed with America and want to visit more states this year.
- Send out my acting showreel: It took me two years to finally complete my acting showreel, so I am ready to send it out to agents.
- Growing on Social Media: Hit 1.8 million followers on TikTok and 550k on Instagram, but quality content that I love to make over the number is my main goal in social media
- Solo Overseas Trip: Travel to be independent.
- Public Speaking Events: I would like to engage in more panels and public speaking events, as they are very fulfilling.
Organizing Your Vision Board
Categorizing Your Goals and Themes
It can be fun and creative to create a vision board. I find that I categorize my images and quotes under various themes. For example, I divide my board into sections for social media, acting, quotes, and travel. This keeps me focused and clear about what each image represents.
Choosing Quotes for Inspiration
I pick quotes that will help me realize my goals. A central quote on my board is, “Act like the person you want to become.” This is a daily reminder of the mindset I need to adopt to achieve my aspirations.
Selecting Images That Inspire
The Impact of Visula Representations
As you collect pictures, remember to pick the ones that inspire you. Do not overcrowd your board with faces unless they are people you really want to emulate. You will be so much more effective if you can picture yourself in the situations you want to be in.
Examples of Goa;-Oriented Images
For example, I posted an image of the American flag so that it will remind me of my goal to visit the United States again; I posted a picture of a person reading on the beach to remind me to read more books this year. These images connect directly to my goals and aspirations.
The Creative Process of Visiob Board Creation
Setting the Right Mood
When it’s time to assemble your vision board, don’t rush the process. Play some calming music or manifestation frequencies to set the mood.
Arranging your Vision Board Layout
As you start placing your images, remember that it’s okay to rearrange them until it feels right. I recommend taking a photo of the layout before gluing everything down, so you have a reference if you want to make changes.
Finalizing Your Vision Board
Securing and Preserving Your Vision Board
Once you have the arrangement to your satisfaction, you glue everything down. I use Mod Podge for a clean finish and apply a layer over the top to seal it. This way, all of your hard work is intact until the end of the year.
Displaying Your Vision Board for Daily Motivation
Step back and admire your work after everything is glued and dried. This vision board represents your dreams and goals for 2025. Hang it in a place where you see it every day, like your office or bedroom. The more you see it, the more you’ll be inspired to take action toward your goals.
Stay Accountable Throughout the Year
Tracking Your Progress
As the year progresses, regularly check in with your vision board. Reflect on what you’ve accomplished and what still needs attention.
Adjusting goals as Needed
Adjust your goals if necessary—life changes, and so should your aspirations. Remember, it’s not about achieving every goal perfectly; it’s about the journey and the growth that comes with it.
Conclusion
A vision board is a strong tool for making intentions for the upcoming year. You can make your dreams of 2025 come true by visualizing, reflecting on what you want to achieve, and taking actionable steps. Enjoy the process, let the creativity out, and remember you are in charge of your future.
Wishing you all the best in your goal-setting adventures for 2025! Let’s make this year a transformative one!
