Harris Corp. receives $29M Air Force radio order

MELBOURNE, Fla. (AP) — Harris Corp. said Wednesday that it got $29 million worth of orders for its Falcon III portable multiband manpack radios from the U.S. Air Force.

The communications and information technology company said the radios offer each user interoperable voice and wideband data communications that can be used to communicate on the ground or between the ground and the air.

Shares of Melbourne, Fla.-based Harris rose 41 cents to $40.06 in afternoon trading.
