Grains futures rise, livestock prices trade mixed

CHICAGO (AP) ? Grains futures rose in early trading Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery jumped 23.5 cents to $6.80 a bushel; December corn added 6.75 cents to $6.9275 a bushel; December oats were unchanged at $3.415 a bushel; while November soybeans gained 5.5 cents to $13.17 a bushel.

Beef futures rose, while pork prices fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle rose 0.75 cent to $1.1835 a pound; September feeder cattle added 0.85 cent to $1.3450 a pound; while October lean hogs shed 0.27 cent to 90.05 cents a pound.
