Grains futures mostly drop, livestock prices mixed

CHICAGO (AP) ? Grains futures traded mostly lower Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery slid 8.5 cents to $6.27 a bushel; December corn dropped 4 cents to $6.085 a bushel; December oats fell 4 cents to $3.49 a bushel; while November soybeans edged up 0.5 cent to $13.185 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle dropped 0.40 cent to $1.1295 a pound; August feeder cattle fell 0.32 cent to $1.4095 a pound; August lean hogs added 0.25 cent to 93.60 cents a pound; while August pork bellies were unchanged at $1.065 a pound.
