Grains futures drop, livestock prices trade mixed

CHICAGO (AP) ? Grains futures fell in early trading Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery slid 9.25 cents to $6.83 a bushel; December corn dropped 15 cent to $6.705 a bushel; December oats were unchanged at $3.65 a bushel; while November soybeans tumbled 24.25 cents to $13.64 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle dropped 1.05 cent to $1.1435 a pound; August feeder cattle fell 0.95 cent to $1.3545 a pound; and October lean hogs rose 0.53 cent to 93.10 cents a pound.
