Google?s life sciences team is partnering with Sanofi S.A., a French pharmaceutical company, to work on improving care for diabetes patients, according to a news release Sanofi published on Monday.
Sanofi is a leader in diabetes treatment and Google is an expert in ?analytics, miniaturized electronics and low power chip design?; the two companies plan to integrate their respective areas of knowledge to work on improving the quality of life for people with diabetes.
They will collect and analyze information regarding the disease and use that to develop new technology that will hopefully make it easier for patients to manage their diabetes. The companies hope their efforts will help reduce complications, improve outcomes, and lower costs related to diabetes care.
