MOUNTAIN VIEW, California (AP) ? Google says it has bought the restaurant review service Zagat.
It comes as the Internet search leader is trying to help people connect with local businesses ? and sell ads to local merchants in the process. In a blog post, Google said Zagat “will be a cornerstone of our local offering.”
Zagat offers reviews and ratings on restaurants around the world, based largely on surveys of diners.
