The Florida A&M University (FAMU) Division of Research (DoR), Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) extends to you a SPECIAL INVITATION to attend and interact with FAMU?s faculty, staff and student inventors at their second annual innovation Showcase (iSHOW) on Friday, November 7, 2014, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., FAMU Foundation Building, 625 East Tennessee Street, Tallahassee, FL 32308 (across from Leon High School?s tennis courts).
Hear about their extraordinary innovations from agriculture, human resources, the natural health (especially pharmacy), and environmental and social sciences. In recent years, FAMU has produced a significant number of patents, trademarks, trade secrets and copyrights. FAMU is convinced that these novel developments by faculty, staff and students all will contribute significantly to the health and well-being of this country by stimulating start-up businesses that generate new jobs. Licensing and commercialization of FAMU?s intellectual property via supportive incubator space, facilitating more research and development is imminent. The entire business community, angel investors, all are welcome to be a part of this global marketplace experience.
In 2012, President Barack Obama proclaimed November of each year as National Entrepreneurship Month celebrating innovation and commercialization. Linked to business start-ups by entrepreneurs, the growth of the U.S. economy continues to be responsible for most of the new jobs created in this country. Come to the iSHOW to find out more of our inventions in celebration of National Entrepreneurship Month; get a glimpse of how FAMU is ?Innovating Today for a better tomorrow!? For more information on this celebration, please contact Ms. Sharon Snelling at Sharon.snelling@famu.edu or call: (850) 412-7232. We look forward to the opportunity to host you!
