A For Profit Company ECO NO-BOIS Lumber Yard Receives Red Shield™ Coated Lumber for Local Distribution
VISTA, Calif., Aug. 8, 2011
VISTA, Calif., Aug. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Eco Building™ Products, Inc., (OTCBB: ECOB) announced today the company has commenced unloading of containers with Red Shield coated lumber in our Port Au Prince wholesale lumber distribution facility. The entire lumber package previously sold to local Haitian building supply companies will be distributed this coming week. ECOB now has additional containers en-route to ECO NO-BOIS ("Eco Wood") wholesale lumber facility to increase our wholesale position in a market gaining momentum from the rebuilding requirements. After over two months of logistical issues ECOB understands the process of exporting and importing "Commercial Goods" into Haiti. All prior shipments had been made to Non-Profit organizations. ECOB has engaged the Director for the US Department of Trade and Commerce, now working on plans to take Red Shield protected lumber into other countries.
Gils Aubry, ECOB representative running ECO NO-BIOS operations, met with President Michel Martelly this past week discussing the advantages of Red Shield protected lumber verses standard pressure treated lumber as a viable solution for the future construction of the country. Gils Aubry, in training for over 1 year, represents ECOB in Haiti for not only protected lumber but our new seismic wall system designed by Smart Components®. ECOB 's goal is to teach Haiti how to build cost effective structures up to 5 stories with lumber as opposed to the traditional concrete methodologies that cannot withstand seismic movement. Our technically advanced building material addresses all the issues with Mold, Wood-Rot, Termites and Fire providing an environmentally safe solution and the ability to erect structures in a fraction of the time as opposed to concrete. Additionally Red Shield lumber products neutralize the fear of crumble associated with concrete buildings.
"Almost two years ago I reached out to the earthquake stricken country of Haiti offering wood framed shelters for an orphanage. We organized food drives, donated shelters and commenced building a village in Carrefour for Light Ministries. In my heart I knew this was the right thing to do knowing that the only way for Haiti to recognize our technology was by means of donations. There are many sellers in Haiti and the local businesses seem to be embracing ECOB because of our philanthropy," said Steve Conboy, President and CEO of Eco Building Products, Inc. "Our vision is to teach other countries how to build safer structures by embracing the newest building technologies when it comes to seismic movement and hurricane winds rather than just doing what they have been doing forever," added Conboy.
