The Arizona Diamondbacks managed to grab a much-needed and pretty magnificent 7-0 lead during the first clash against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The team successfully scored twice during the first inning on Eugenio Suarez’s double. They also added four more during the third inning off the Dodgers’ second pitcher of the night, Landon Knack. Gabriel Moreno also crushed a Knack offering for a two-run home run during the third inning. The Diamondbacks successfully secured a 9-5 win on Monday. If you are someone who wants more details about the match between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Los Angeles Dodgers, this article is for you.

Ryne Nelson Reveals He’s Going To Strike Back As A Starter

Ryne Nelson, who is the pitcher for the Arizona Diamondbacks, calmly revealed on the 19th of May that he is going to return to the starting rotation. He announced his return to the starting rotation while his teammates were playing a board game nearby. The right-hander is all set to pitch for the next match on the 20th of May 2025. He’s going to be back as the starter again while Eduardo Rodriguez is on the injured list. The Diamondback pitcher, while talking about becoming a starter again, mentioned that he knew this situation would pop up one day, but he likes to focus on what’s in front of him day to day instead of thinking far ahead.

Torey Lovullo, who is the manager of the Arizona Diamondbacks, mentioned that the team has asked a lot of Nelson in the past, so he must have earned his position as the starter. He mentioned that Nelson takes things in stride as good as any other younger players. He’s always focused on what he can do to go out, do his job, and make his team win.

Updates On Those Currently Included In The Injured List

Before the three-game series between the Diamondbacks and Dodgers opened, the manager of the Arizona Diamondbacks had updates on three of their pitchers who are currently included in the injured list. Right-handed reliever Justin Martinez is heading toward Reno to pitch one inning in a Triple-A game scheduled on the 20th of May. He’s going to head back to Phoenix the following day. On the other hand, left-handed reliever A.J. Puk has already started his throwing program on the 19th of May and threw 60 feet. Lovullo, while talking about Puk’s progress, also explained how important it is for him to return to throwing the ball for the team. Starter Eduardo Rodriguez, who is also on the injured list as of now, threw out to 90 feet on the 19th of May.

Diamondbacks RHP Brandon Pfaadt (6-3, 3.73) vs. Dodgers LHP Jack Dreyer (2-1, 2.55)

The right-hand pitcher of the Arizona Diamondbacks, Brandon Pfaadt, was seen struggling in his most recent start. He ended up giving a total of four runs in four innings on six hits and three walks. It was apparently his second rough one in the last three starts. He threw considerably well against the Los Angeles Dodgers at the beginning of this month. Brandon gave 6 1⁄3 scoreless innings and significantly advantaged from good defense behind him and good fortune on hard-hit balls. Jack Dreyer, on the other hand, is serving as the opener for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Dreyer has already pitched two times against the Arizona Diamondbacks this month. He did not allow a single run in 3 ⅔ innings combined from those two outings.
