Some say it was just too good to be true.
According to the Associated Press, actress Diahann Carroll has dropped out of the highly-anticipated Broadway production of ?A Raisin in the Sun? starring Denzel Washington.??
The 78-year old actress has said that her departure is due to vigorous scheduling demands. It would have marked her 30-year return to Broadway. 59-year old actress LaTanya Richardson will replace her.
Opening night of the show is April 3.
