According to Sports Pro Media, Daniel Cherry III was appointed the new chief marketing and innovation officer of New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center entertainment complex.
“Daniel’s unique skill set, acquired through his eclectic experience, will be the force behind solidifying the power of our brands to drive growth for our current and future fans,” said Weber in a statement. “In finding someone with his abilities who also shares our organization’s commitment to bring transformative change, we were rewarded for our patience.”
Prior to the appointment, Cherry served as Senior vice president of marketing and vice president of consumer planning & research at Diageo N.A. Before that, he worked briefly for North American Soccer League (NASL) as the chief marketing officer for the New York Cosmos. He also worked as a consumer planner and brand strategist at Wieden + Kennedy, a role for which he is the recipient of a Gold Effie Award.
