NEW YORK (AP) ? Crown Publishers and the popular website RealClearPolitics.com are teaming up for a four-book series that aims to document the presidential campaign in something close to real time.

Crown announced Friday that the first installment, “The Battle Begins,” will come out Nov. 4 as an e-book only. After two more e-books next year, a fourth release is scheduled for after Election Day and will be available digitally and on paper. The writers will be RealClear co-founder Thomas Bevan and Washington editor Carl M. Cannon.

A similar election year partnership between old and new media was announced over the summer by Random House and Politico. Random House and Crown are both imprints of Bertelsmann AG’s Random House Inc. division.
