LONDON (AP) ? Pornography company Manwin says information about users of the YouPorn Chat site has been compromised after a third-party service provider failed to secure its data.
Luxembourg-based Manwin Holding SARL said Wednesday that the chat service had been disabled and would remain offline until an investigation was carried out.
It’s not clear who the third-party provider was or how many users were involved.
Hundreds of leaked email addresses and passwords allegedly linked to the chat service breach are circulating online, but their authenticity cannot be confirmed by The Associated Press.
Some of the addresses appear to be bogus or inactive.
Earlier this month, a hacker claimed to have broken into a site associated with pornography maker Brazzers, another Manwin company.
