Clinton Junior College

    Established in 1894 and listed as one of many historical black colleges
    & universities, Clinton Junior College offers students higher
    education with spiritual development. One of many HBCUs founded by the
    African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, its original mission was to
    give education to descendants of slaves. Today, of all black colleges,
    it has distinguished itself among other African American universities by
    having a primary focus in Liberal Arts studies.
