GENEVA (AP) ? In a story Nov. 18 about faster-than-light particles, The Associated Press reported that European researchers who fired neutrinos 454 miles (730 kilometers) underground from Geneva to a lab in Italy found they “traveled 60 nanoseconds faster” than light. Since nanoseconds are a unit of time, not speed, the article should have said that the neutrinos “traveled the distance from Geneva to Gran Sasso 60 nanoseconds faster” than light.
