Carnival, Citigroup, Tesla are big movers

Carnival Corp., down $4.68 at $29.60

After one if its ships capsized in Italy, investors worried whether the incident will hurt the cruise operator’s bookings.

Citigroup Inc., down $2.53 at $28.22

The bank said its fourth-quarter income fell 11 percent due in part to lower investment banking income and an accounting charge.

McMoRan Exploration Co., up 61 cents at $13.35

The petroleum producer posted a fourth-quarter profit on higher oil prices and a settlement of its 2008 hurricane insurance claims.

Nasdaq

Tesla Motors Inc., up $3.81 at $26.60

Analysts from Goldman Sachs and Wunderlich Securities both upgraded their ratings for the electric car maker’s stock to “Buy.”

R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co., down $2.28 at $12.13

The printing services company expects revenue of $10.6 million for 2011, which is slightly below Wall Street expectations.

Kinross Gold Corp., down $2.38 at $10.27

The Canadian gold miner said it expects production to be flat to slightly higher this year, while production costs will rise.

Forest Laboratories Inc., up $1.18 at $32.08

Despite higher revenue, the drugmaker said that its fiscal third-quarter earnings fell 13 percent as expenses climbed.

Compuware Corp., down 79 cents at $7.49

The software and services company posted fiscal third-quarter and full-year outlooks that fell short of analyst expectations.
