Isaiah Fields was assigned as a caretaker for a 43-year-old woman suffering from Rett Syndrome at Marklund’s Hyde Center near Geneva. He was responsible for bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding and other care of the victim. The woman was reportedly living in the center for over 20 years. She was unable to read, write, talk, or consent to sex in any way. In the month of April 2024, she was sent to the hospital for a liver and gallbladder test. However, the doctors at the hospital shockingly discovered she was at least 31 weeks pregnant and also had preeclampsia.

After the woman was diagnosed with preeclampsia, the doctors had to perform a cesarean section on her the very next day.
