Aeropostale Inc., down $1.78 at $10.71

The teen retailer’s quarterly profit tumbled 93 percent because of deep markdowns. Its forecast disappointed investors.

LDK Solar Co., down $1.51 at $5.06

The Chinese solar energy company cut its revenue guidance for the year. Wafer and module shipments were lower than expected.

Ann Inc., up $2.43 at $21.70

The retailer’s strong online sales and revenue gains at its Loft chain boosted quarterly profit, and it raised its revenue forecast.

Barnes & Noble Inc., down $2.11 at $9.98

John Malone’s Liberty Media scrapped its plan to buy the bookseller for $1 billion, instead buying a $204 million stake.
