Last night, Beyonce won the coveted VMA Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award after performing a sizzling 15-minute medley of songs from her self-titled visual album, Beyonce, released in December 2013 (sans publicity).

Dressed in a bodysuit of gleaming, colorful mosaic-like tiles reminiscent of a museum piece, Beyonce closed out the show (MTV opting to save the best for last) with XO, a heartfelt dedication to her fans, followed by a visit onstage from her husband Jay-Z and their 2-year old daughter Blue Ivy who presented her with the award.

In addition to the Vanguard award, Beyonce also won for Best Collaboration: Beyonce ft. Jay Z, “Drunk In Love”; Best Video With a Social Message: Beyonce, “Pretty Hurts”; and Best Cinematography: Beyonce, “Pretty Hurts.”

From Harper’s Bazaar:

As if you needed a reminder, Beyonc? solidified her reign as Queen Bey last night with the ultimate VMA performance. Accepting the MTV Video Vanguard Award, Bey closed out the show with a medley of her latest album, performing every song her latest album, from “Flawless” to “Drunk in Love.” Stealing the show, however, was Blue Ivy, who danced along to her mom’s performance from the audience (she really has the “I woke up like this” move down pact). Following the performance, Jay Z and Blue Ivy presented Bey with the Vanguard Award, creating the most heart-warming family moment to ever grace on the VMA stage.
