This year, Black Entertainment & Sports Law Association (BESLA) is set to hold its Mid-Year Conference at Fordham University in NYC.
According to its website, BESLA ?empowers by providing access to key industry influencers and innovators through premiere programming and opportunities.? Some of those influencers and innovators are scheduled to speak at the upcoming event, which will take place on Monday, April 4, at Fordham University in NYC.
Veteran record executive and producer L.A. Reid (Antonio Reid), who rose to stardom in the 90s as co-founder of LaFace records, is one of them. A production team that included record executive and singer-songwriter Babyface (Kenneth Edmonds), the duo helped launch and foster numerous top-selling artists including Mariah Carey, Toni Braxton, TLC and Outkast, among others. At the event, he will speak about the music industry. ?
