Eagle Industries Receives Follow-On Delivery Order for U.S. Marine Corps' New Standard-Issue Pack

MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — ATK (NYSE: ATK) announced today that its Eagle Industries business has received an additional $24.9 million contract from Marine Corps Systems Command to produce the U.S. Marine Corps' new standard-issue pack. The news of this follow-on delivery order comes only two weeks after the initial contract was announced. Work for the second order will be performed in Eagle Industries' two Puerto Rico manufacturing plants and is expected to be complete January 31, 2013. The two contracts together are valued at $75 million. ?

The new load bearing equipment system is designed to allow Marines to carry equipment needed in support of combat operations. The U.S. Marine Corps' new pack increases the overall combat effectiveness of the user by maximizing the ability to carry combat loads more efficiently, minimizing the burdens of weight and improving overall system compatibility.
