Photographer Jeanne Moutoussamy-Ashe, widow of tennis icon Arthur Ashe, has compiled some of her late husband?s belongings and created an interactive exhibit that is currently housed at the New York Hall of Science in Queens, New York. The exhibit, which opened on Saturday and will last for two weeks, features quotes; paintings; photos; magazine covers; and facts about Ashe?s life, career and social activism.???
Ashe is credited with being the first African American male tennis player to win a Grand Slam tournament. But Moutoussamy-Ashe has often been quoted as saying that her husband was much more than a tennis player, which is why she invested the time producing the exhibit. Through the display, she hopes visitors will learn more about him.
