According to Forbes, 2018 sparked a renewed interest in loan options being made available to small business owners. Within the year’s first quarter, 56.7 loan requests were approved.
Now, a new program, in partnership with the Harlem Commonwealth Council, is making it possible for small business owners to get grants needed to push their businesses forward.
If you own a small business that has been in operation for at least 3 years, you’re eligible to apply for a grant of up to $90,000 through the “Love Your Local Small Business Grant Program.” Created by the NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS) to help local businesses continue on in their mission of providing jobs, goods, and services to community residents, the program will select 20 small businesses to each receive an in-depth assessment of their business and one-on-one business consultations – in addition to the monetary grant.
Eligible business improvement projects may include improving operations, recruiting and training employees, updating technology, enhancing the business location and improving financial management.
The deadline for this round of funding is August 10.
