Ailey II embarks on first international tour

For the first time ever, Ailey II, the junior company of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, will give over 35 performances throughout Europe in Germany, France, UK, and Austria. The international tour schedule marks the first in the company’s 35-year history. Ailey II began in 1974 as the Alvin Ailey Repertory Ensemble, a workshop created by Alvin Ailey to showcase the talent of scholarship students. Its Artistic Director is Sylvia Waters.?????
