  1. Clarity is cash.

Confused minds don’t buy—whether you’re selling a book, catering services, design work, or anything else you’re passionate about. You can’t effectively sell if your message isn’t clear to others. We scaled our transportation business because we knew exactly who our customers were and what our value proposition was. If you can’t articulate your value in one sentence, you’re not ready to grow. Until I got specific, I was at a loss.

Action: Don’t wait—just make the plan.

  1. Don’t build a job—build a business.

What you offer should solve a real pain point for others—something that’s costing them time, money, or peace of mind. That’s how millionaires are made: by becoming the solution to someone else’s problem. Take my client Darnita. She’s a tutor. With education becoming increasingly competitive and schools not always equipping students with the necessary skills to succeed, many families are seeking support desperately. Darnita is solving that problem.

Action: Start looking at life through this lens: What pain point can I solve? Use what’s already in your hands.

  1. Consistency is your currency. 

Millionaires show up even when they don’t feel like it, and they aren’t driven by emotions because emotion doesn’t drive execution; discipline does. The difference: The millionaire mentality is “all gas, no brakes.” If you move when you don’t feel like moving, that’s when quantum leaps happen.

Action: Show up even when it’s hard. Your consistency will build trust in yourself and lead to greater opportunities.

  1. Sell with conviction. 

If you truly believe in your product, your mission, and the purpose you’ve been called to serve, then step forward boldly and invite others to experience the transformation. I used to fear rejection and was a people pleaser, but now I focus on staying true to my calling. Rejection happens—everyone experiences it at some point. But what matters most is aligning with your purpose and moving forward despite the fear. Millionaires take fear and place it under their feet because every single person deals with rejection at some point.

Action: Don’t hide the gifts you have; share them confidently with the world.

  1. Systems set you free. 

You can’t scale chaos. Systems replace you so that you can multiply. If you’re running a business, write down everything that you then delegate to others. Hire people to buy back your time. Your business should be able to run without you. You are building a business, not a hustle. You can’t be the person doing everything forever. Ask yourself: Are you the lid? Until I got out of the way, my system couldn’t grow. I was the lid—the one thing holding everything back. Think of your idea as a seed. If you plant the seed in good soil, it has to grow. If it’s not growing, are you the one preventing it?

Action: Ask yourself: Am I running around in circles? Caught in chaos? Now is the time to write down your SOP (System Operating Procedures). Build a business that a really smart 12-year-old could run with very clear instructions.

  1. Wealthy people see failure as tuition. 

Failure is how you pay to learn. Don’t let it stop you, stall you, or make you doubt your calling. Wealthy people learn from failure. They don’t fear it. If you keep making the same mistakes, it’s time to evaluate, not quit. I’ve waited too long to launch certain things. But the biggest failure? Not even trying. That costs the most.

Action: There is real equity in failure. Tell your story—talk about the divorce, the failures in business. That’s what makes you authentic and builds connection and trust.

  1. Stay rooted in purpose. 

If your identity is in income, you’ll break in the dry season. Millionaires stay the course because they know when they are called to do something, they don’t stop doing it when it gets hard. Oprah was told she didn’t have what it took to be on the air, but she didn’t stop. Pandemics happen, politics shift, disappointments come, but purpose keeps you moving. Purpose is the new currency. It sustains you through disappointment, delays, and chaos.

Action: Change your mindset. Stay rooted in purpose, not paycheck. You can’t climb the ladder alone. Break free from the fear of scarcity. Share your purpose, support others, and build together.
