2025 Jeep Compass: One of Jeep’s most popular global models has taken a big turn, as the all-new 2025 Compass has been officially unveiled by the brand. Introduced in 2006, the Compass has been updated many times since, but the latest one is a complete overhaul. The new technology and hybrid, all-electric (EV), versions are part of the third generation of the Compass, and it is envisaged that the launches will help keep the SUV competitive in the auto industry that is becoming ever more tech-driven. The new Compass is currently aimed at the European market, however, an Indian launch could be in the cards by 2026.

Bold New Design

For 2025, the Jeep Compass looks more aggressive, more contemporary on the outside. Up front, there is Jeep’s front signature seven-slatted grille, which is more slender and can also be lit for a trendy look. New rectangular LED headlights with vertical DRLs flanking the grille complete its rugged appearance. Black cladding runs thick along the bumper, which lends it an off-road appearance.

The SUV rides on 20-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and has muscular body cladding and pull-type door handles along the sides. Outside rearview mirrors and roof rails are blacked out for a more sporty look. In the rear, the Compass has a rear connected LED taillights embedded within a blacked out frame, which also incorporates the space in which the license plate goes. At the center, you have a bold Jeep logo, illuminated as well. Despite that, the new Compass, which comes with a roomier 550-litre boot, actually improves on both style and practicality.

Upgraded Interior and Space

It features an entirely reimagined interior complete with a premium, all black cabin, all within stepping into a 2025 Compass. The dashboard uses a layered design that has a bold silver accent running through the dashboard’s width for a sleek but rugged look. Indeed, the SUV now boasts a thoroughly modern 16-inch central infotainment display and a 10.1-inch digital instrument cluster.

The other focus of this redesign has been interior space. There is 55mm more rear legroom and 34 litres more front cabin storage now on offer. An airy and light quality is owed to a panoramic sunroof. There is are chunky drive mode rotary selector, horizontal air vents, and more ergonomic storage solutions.

High-Tech Features and Advanced Safety

When it comes to technology and comfort, Jeep has gone all out. Features, such as wireless phone charging, connected car tech, a 10.1-inch driver’s display, and dual-zone automatic climate control, are found on the 2025 Compass. Ventilated front seats, an 8‐way power‐adjustable driver seat with memory function, and a powered tailgate round out the luxury touches in a bid to combine capability and luxury.

Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) have been added, with significantly enhanced safety features. This includes semi-automatic lane changing, adaptive cruise control etc. City safe driving and weekend trips are guaranteed as the SUV comes with the likes of a 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake with auto hold, six airbags, hill descent control, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

Hybrid and Electric Powertrain Options

The most notable progress in the 2025 Jeep Compass is in the range of powertrain options. In Europe, Jeep is offering two hybrid models and a fully electric Compass EV. The most basic hybrid uses a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine and a mild hybrid system, kicking out 147 PS. It has a 4-cylinder, 1.6-litre engine and a 21kWh battery that pushes out 198 PS.

Those who want to go entirely electric can get a Compass EV with either a 73 kWh or a 97 kWh battery pack option. It is offered with power outputs ranging from 216PS for the base, front wheel drive variant through to a meaty 380PS, available on the all wheel drive car. The top variant comes with an advanced new rear electric motor that gives the vehicle 49 kW power and 232 Nm torque, which would easily go off-road. Ranging up to 650 km, it provides fast charging capabilities supporting 20–80% charge in as little as 30 minutes through a 160 kW DC charger.

Expected Launch and Market Position

The production and sales of the 2025 Compass have already begun in Europe, however, an official India launch has not been announced as yet. However, industry insiders indicate that if Jeep can keep the production costs and localization in check then this model should reach Indian roads sometime around late 2026. Should it launch, it will take on the Hyundai Tucson, Citroën C5 Aircross, and domestic automakers’ upcoming electric SUVs.
