Black Panther, created in 1966 as the first black superhero in American comics, may be getting his own feature film. Marvel Studios has revived the project, which floated through various acquisitions over the past few decades, and hired Mark Bailey to write the script. Bailey, who is best known for his work on political documentaries, may initially seem like an unusual choice.?However, given that the original storyline of the Black Panther, whose strengths include superhuman agility, strength and stamina, centered on his role as the leader of the fictional kingdom of Wakanda, Bailey may be the best choice given his first-hand experience with complicated political intrigues. Casting has not begun, but Idris Elba and?Boris Kodjoe have been mentioned.
