2013 was the year of Lupita. And the whirlwind continues into 2014.
For her superb feature film debut as Patsey in the film 12 Years a Slave, Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong?o was nominated for a Golden Globe award (to air this Sunday), and rumors are swirling that she will follow suit on an Academy Award nomination.
She was also nominated for a British film academy?s Rising Star Award. It is the equivalent of the Oscars in the U.S.
30-year old Nyong?o, who has studied at the Yale School of Drama, has been interviewed in countless magazines, has been the darling of the media circuit ? lauded for her beauty, style and film performance – and recently made the cover of W magazine?s ?Movie Issue.?
